About Schwalbe
For over 70 years Schwalbe have dominated the two wheeled tyres industry in Europe. Based in Germany, Schwalbe tyres have won some of the World’s biggest races and stages across disciplines from mountain biking to triathlon, stage racing to cyclocross.
Details
Tacky Chan is the fastest downhill tyre in the world: Maximum corner grip and maximum braking traction - with optimal rolling resistance and absolute freedom in line choice. 17 World Cup wins in two years with the Tacky Chan, as well as Amaury Pierron's overall victory in 2022, underline this.
If you prefer a slightly lighter construction with minor compromises in puncture protection and precision, while simultaneously wanting to benefit from radial tyre technology, the Trail Pro radial is the right construction for you! Originally developed for the pros of the Downhill World Cup, you can now also enjoy the advantages of radial: more grip, more cushioning, more safety.
How does that work? The carcass threads are woven at a blunter angle. This ensures that the tyre can better conform to the ground at specific points and, at the same air pressure, has a 30 percent larger contact patch on the trail.
Technology
Fair Rubber
Schwalbe is the first tyre manufacturer to offer products with Fairtrade rubber. Schwalbe pays a Fair Rubber premium for every kilogram of rubber. This premium is used exclusively to improve the living conditions of small farmers and their families.
Trail Pro
The all-round pro option for classic trail riding with an excellent balance of weight and protection. Includes Apex reinforcement, a fabric-backed protective insert that improves sidewall stability and puncture resistance while keeping weight low
Radial Carcass
The carcass material overlaps for a shorter time and with less tension. As a result, the tyre deforms more selectively and can react much more flexibly and adaptably to unevenness without sacrificing the safety factor. The tyre absorbs impact much better and uses the suspension travel more effectively. It literally sucks itself into the ground, this applies to both mountain bikes and E-MTBs. Plus radial tyres offer approximately 30% more contact area than conventional tyres at the same air pressure.
Addix Ultra Soft
For hardcore use in enduro and downhill. Sensationally good damping has been further improved over the previous VertStar compound, while at the same time Addix Ultrasoft is suitable for all-weather use due to significantly improved low-temperature properties when it comes to grip and damping.
