The Synthe's aerodynamic efficiency is a breakthrough in vented helmet design. Their extensive wind tunnel testing, using wind averaged drag calculations to assess performance in a wide range of conditions, reveals that the Synthe is nearly as fast as time trial helmets in a standard "road" position, without compromising the cooling power your body needs for maximum power output. That cooling power is immediately apparent on the road, besting Giro's test results and nearly matching the temperatures recorded for a bare headform over 30 minutes.
Even with all of this performance, weight is an impressive 250 grams for a size medium CPSC compliant Synthe, making it a great choice when you're battling for KOM's or a personal best at the summit.
